Welcome to our living room. It's where we spend the most time...gathered around the fire, reading and studying together, watching a good movie, playing board games, or just relaxing. It's my favorite place in the house (my new studio a close second!).
With all the stuff we have crammed into this very functional room, I think the white walls make it feel more open and less cluttered. The white also gives it a peaceful, serene feel...which, with eight of us wandering in and out, is a good thing indeed.

Happy weekend to you all!

I came across your blog through MADE and your interior decorating is beautiful! This post looks like a spread from a magazine, like Country Living. Of course, I love all the books you have and how they are all around the room.
My sister just told me about your beautiful kitchen and I can't stop looking at the pictures of your amazing home! I absolutely love everything you've done!
I love the accent pillows you made for the couch...those must be fairly new. And all the updates are so inviting and authentic ( I especially like the Hunter boots on display!). It looks so nice Trish. All your hard work has paid off, so hopefully you like it for awhile now so you don't have to do it again for awhile. I can only imagine the whirlwhind you created being so busy! Best wishes for your satisfaction with the upcoming speaking assignment; I'm sure you'll be fantastic, but I'm also sure you're a bit nervous(: Can't wait to hear all about it.
I made it to your blog via Say YES to Hoboken, and I'm so glad I did! You have done a sensational job in decorating your home. I love the fusion of cottage, rustic, and industrial styles, and white is such a great base color, especially in a kitchen. My favorite pieces from what I've seen are the Sundance kitchen chairs. I think you made a great investment there. I also love your "real" passions, and I'm all for all of those things! I'm particularly impressed that you homeschool six kids. You seem like a very dedicated wife, mother and homemaker and I look forward to continuing to read your blog. :)
What a charming mini painting above your hanging hooks.
I love the new look. So full of character and charm!
I stumbled across this blog through a connection! I am enchanted and have read all the back entries. You are a fabulous homemaker!
Ummm, I LOVE your "ruffled" handbag. Wherever did you find it?
