weekending at the cabin

Last weekend, we celebrated my mom's 70th birthday.  And had a little family reunion.  Some if it was spent at our family cabin up in Sundance.  What a perfectly beautiful spot!!  It was fun to see each other, and great to get out of town and up into those majestic mountains.  I can almost smell the fresh air and feel the cool breeze as I write this...

Isn't it sublime?  Wish we could go back this weekend!
Instead, we'll be finishing the garden and celebrating DAD!
Happy Father's Day to you all!

The cabin is beautiful...very Frank Lloyd Wright-esque.

I stumbled across your blog via another blog and funny thing - my family has a cabin right across the road from yours. I recognized your cabin from Brickerhaven. My mother is a Taylor, and I am assuming your family is a friend or relative? We just spent a week there too and LOVE it. We go there as often as we can. It is SO beautiful. We too, are blessed to have a cabin there!
BTW - Love your blog!

Wow. I'm pretty sure I saw this very cabin on our hike up to Stewart falls! Is this the one? And my first thought was....what a beautiful view! And my second, honestly was, I wouldn't' want to clean those windows! Lovely lovely. And lovely comments about parenting above. So so true. And the positive parenting is on my amazon wishlist!
