a moment

A stolen moment of quiet in the foothills.
A blanket to lounge on, a bag full of books, and a knitting project.
Left happily playing little girls with the animals and big brothers in the big backyard,
dropped a son off at an hour long cello lesson,
and breathed in the peaceful mountain air,
alone,
for a moment.

Come join me today over at Mommy Snark, where I'm guest posting about Joyful Mothering.
And while you're there, look around and meet my good friend, Jenny.  She inspires me.

Thanks again for your lovely post, Tricia. My Mom responded to your post via email this morning and said, in reference to Julie Beck's talk, "Yay for mothers who know!!"

Thank you Tricia for the Mommy Snark post. Truly inspiring. I still feel that overwhelming toddler phase - 6 kids under 10. But I know I need to look for more purpose and fulfillment from the every day journey.

I love you Tricia. Thanks for your friendship and your inspiration,

Hugs!

I had to tell you...your post on Joyful Mothering was absolutly beautiful, as all your posts are. You put into words the kind of mother I'm working on becoming. I love how your hobbies are found in your home, and that you don't need to leave your family to better yourself. What great inspiration!

Now I'm off to: read, sew somthing, and organize! :)
